What is HearthHold?

HearthHold is a free-to-play browser MMORTS: a massively multiplayer online real-time strategy game. Build a floating city, recruit heroes, form alliances and compete in a persistent online world. Read how a browser MMORTS works.

Is HearthHold free to play?

Yes. HearthHold's beta is free to play in a browser. All four tribes, town building, heroes, research and alliance play are available through gameplay. No game purchase or separate installation is required.

Is HearthHold pay-to-win?

No. Gold is earned through gameplay and is not sold. Diamonds are for cosmetics only; they cannot buy resources, troops, speedups, protection or combat power. Diamond purchases are not available in the current pilot. See the free-to-play and anti pay-to-win guide.

Do I need to download anything?

No installation is required. Open HearthHold in a modern browser on desktop or mobile. The 3D world needs a browser and device with WebGL 2 support and an internet connection.

How do I start playing?

Select Play now, sign in with your Google account, and choose a realm. New players choose a tribe and name their lord and town. If you already have a saved session, the homepage takes you straight to the game.

Which tribes can I choose?

Choose Romans for balanced development, Teutons for aggressive offense, Egyptians for economy and defense, or Chinese for research and technology. All four tribes are available through play.

Does the world keep moving when I’m away?

Yes. HearthHold runs on a persistent server. Resource production, construction and army movements continue while you are offline. Plan your next steps before leaving your town.

Where can I share beta feedback?

Join the HearthHold Discord community to share feedback and discuss the game. HearthHold is in beta, so features and balance may change.
